A grieving therapist starts telling his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making big changes in people’s lives, including his own. The cast of “Shrinking” shares their best character-defining moments from season one and reveals who has the best Harrison Ford impression. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show, Segel said Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison Ford type” and would audition people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein they should at least bring it to Ford first, thinking he would turn it down right away, but at least other people would know Harrison Ford was involved, which would pique the interest of other big-name actors. Eventually, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to get him, but he was elated nonetheless. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 (So Far) (2023). This was a solid production and a truly unique story. The performances were fantastic. I love how each character embraces their imperfections, shows vulnerability, and uses humor to achieve spiritual growth. Shrinking has a lot of heartfelt moments, awkward moments, mildly funny cute moments, and laugh out loud moments. I hope they continue to make more seasons because the character development justifies it. Is it perfect? No. But none of us are. I think the overuse of profanity takes away from the overall power potential here. It’s almost like the writers are forcing the show to be edgy. I personally don’t think I need that. That’s why I gave it an 8. Definitely worth a watch.
