Seminars & Conclaves

A list of all seminars and conclaves and conferences held so far. Chapper Chiri Heritage Conclave was held on 24th February, 2008 in Shivalik School Mohali auditorium.

This conclave was presided over by Dr. Jaspal Singh Vice Chancellor Punjabi University Patiala. Dr. Kirpal Singh eminent historian presented key-note address and Dr. Sukhpal Singh Professor of Punjab Studies Punjabi University Patiala presented his detailed research paper. About 200 delegates representing the various societies, other organizations and Punchayats participated. Among others Dr. Khark Singh, Prof. Davinder Singh members of the Chapar Chiri Punchayats and office Bearers address the conclave. Director Principal of Shivalik School was very kind to help us to make all these arrangements. A unanimous resolution was passed by conclave requesting the Government to construct a Victory Tower and a Theme Park as a memorial to the brave deeds of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and Khalsa Forces. Dr. Jaspal Singh Vice Chancellor was requested to handover the memorandum to Chief Minister and establish a Heritage Cell in the department of Punjab History. All the office Bearers played an active part in organizing this historical function. S. Lakhbir Singh acted as the convener of the conclave.

The foundation will be organizing following events in 2009-10 April onwards:-

Fateh March from Chapar Chiri to Fatehgarh Sahib on 14th May under the overall leadership of S.G.P.C.
Baba Banda Singh Martyrdom day 25th June.
Dedication ceremony of Maharaja Ranjit Singh National Memorial Heritage Hill Park will be organized in the last week of October 2009.
Bhai Gurdas Memorial lecture on Guru Granth Sahib by Dr. Jaswant Singh Naki on 30th August.
A seminar on the need of Quality Education in Government Schools of Punjab date to be announced shortly.
“Virsa Punjab Divas’’ (fto;k gzikp fdt;) will be celebrated on 13th January 2010 i.e. on 1st Magh.
